Sample program – 3-4 hours

Our journey, which can be made by minibus or bus, begins at the port or hotel and takes you round the Helsinki peninsula. The highlights of the tour introduces the life of the Capital of Finland and Helsinki´s various historic and architectural periods, all of which combine to create a harmonious urban milieu.

1. Historical centre is a great example of 19^thcentury architecture. The Senate Square offers a view of the impressive Helsinki Cathedral, which towers above the square and the main building of the Helsinki University, the National Library and the Government Palace. In the middle of the square is a statue of the czar Alexander II.

2. We drive past the Uspenski Cathedral the largest Orthodox church in Northern Europe, Market Square and Market Hall. We also see the iconic symbol of Helsinki, the beautiful statue of Havis Amanda.

3. The impressive Temppeliaukio (Rock) Church is a must-see, the church is carved into a solid rock and combines both high technology and a close relation to the nature in it´s architecture.

4. We will have photo stop at the beautiful Sibelius Park, where it is possible to photograph the monument to composer Jean Sibelius, which is made more than 600 steel pipes.

5. After a while, we will see the Olympic Stadium, the stage of the 1952 Olympic Games, and drive past the new Opera House.

6. We will visit the Oodi Central Library, which showcases modern Finnish. The spectacle of the tour and the most visited sight in Helsinki at moment will the the Oodi Central library. There is no other library like it in the world. It was finished in 2018 to be a showcase of a library of the future. Especially the second floor which is the dedicated for doing – is a totally unique concept among the libraries of the world. Oodi is also an impressive architectural masterpiece and must-see photo opportunity in Helsinki.
